Explanation of Guild Ranks

It has come to our attention that an explanation of the THOR guild ranks is in order as some members are a bit confused with the new ranks. The old system was just based off of level and was a bit unfair to dedicated members of the guild who had been around for a while. We hope that the new system promotes more grouping and activity within the guild and gives people something to look forward to over time instead of just being promoted to the top rank before officer just for being 70. Guild Bank Permissions

Since the in-game Guild Bank permissions are set by Guild Ranks, I figured it would be a good place to let everyone know how the new THOR WoW Guild Bank works. Below is a quick guide to how our Guild Bank permissions are set and some simple rules for the bank.

• All THOR Member ranks can deposit items and gold into the THOR in-game Guild Bank. You may also view all bank panes we own.
• Council Members, Officers, and Guild Bankers can withdraw items from the bank for members. This is to avoid any problems down the road.
• Council Members after a certain time will have access to the guild bank money as well. Until then, we will continue to save up in the guild bank for more panes and buy a few through donations.
• Midgetty is still the main guild banker,so you can email her to request items from the guild bank. I will try to get them to you ASAP.
• Under no circumstances is anyone to request items and sell them on the AH. Items are meant to be used on your characters.

THOR Militia

Lowest rank, all members will get this rank just for joining the guild and it allows you to talk in guild chat. Please register to the website with your main character name. If you have already registered under another name, you can change it under you profile page.

THOR Bank

This rank is now for guild bankers. Guild bankers will be in charge of handling the THOR guild bank if no council members or officers are available. These members ideally will be people who would like to help out and are trustworthy. All guild bank transactions are logged, so it should not be a problem. Alternatively, you can email Midgetty who will continue to be the main THOR guild banker for items.

THOR Sentinel

Sentinel is the first guild rank that is an earned in THOR. You can gain this rank by registering to the THOR website and posting in the WoW Guild Barracks. Please register with your in-game name. If you have registered already, please change your name to your in-game main player name.

THOR Champion

Champion is a rank that is gained by proving your loyalty to the guild over time. It is tallied by your activity on the website like posting events, comments, and generally being an active member on the site.
Some members cannot visit the site as often, so being active within game is also a way to gain this rank. Creating groups and going to Dungeons with members is a great way to speed up your way to becoming a THOR Champion.

THOR Grand-Champion

Grand-Champion's are members who have proved to be a vital asset to the guild over time. You can gain this by continuing on your path of helping others and being an active member of THOR. Members who reach this point are on their way to becoming a Warmaster if they are up for it.

THOR Harbinger

Harbingers will be a cross between the old ranking system and our new ranking system. Grand-Champions that have gained lvl 70 and have been registered to the website for over 6 months will be promoted to Harbinger. A promotion to THOR Harbinger proves that you are one of the most devoted members to the guild and have a great deal of experience in the game.

THOR Warmaster

THOR Warmasters used to be one of our officer ranks, but over time has evolved into a coordinator position. A Warmaster will be in charge of certain skills or throughout the game

THOR Mystic

The Mystic rank is now the only non-Council Officer rank that we have in the guild. It has been consolidated from Warmaster and Mystic to just Mystic. You can usually find a Mystic to help with a question or maybe even give you some pointers on a quest or something. In no instance is any member to ask an officer for a run. If you have a group that is in need of a member that is different. We are pushing for grouping as it will help everyone gain better experiences needed for end-game content. Please check out the THOR Mystics to see who your Officers are and thank them sometime for what they do for the our guild.

THOR Council

THOR Council was created by Zendow to keep a fair balance of power between the leaders of the guild. Not even I hold the final say on an issue, I bring issues to the council and ask their opinion. The final say is by a vote of as many council members as possible. I plan to run a fair guild that has a good team at the helm. Entrance into the council is earned by your actions and dedication. Many members have tried and some have succeeded in this quest. When you have completed it, you will be called upon to become a member of the THOR Council. You will be able to help make major decisions for the guild which will pave the path to our future destination. Council are not untouchable. As some have seen in recent months there is no room for power trips in the council. The rules are laid out and they are followed by all, including council.
