In case anyone wants to know

Why I did not bring Teutorigos back to THOR. 1st I’m going to start by saying I think THOR is an excellent Guild and Community. World of Warcraft is my first MMORPG and I have only been playing for a little over a year. My 1st three months of playing I was a Guild less noob wondering the world with no real direction. I enjoyed the game so much that I even got my wife to start playing. Many of you know her as Alisandrae. For months I declined several guild invites. I guess you can say I just didn’t like their approach. This all changed 1 night while I was helping Ali in Westfall. I received a pst from Zendow, stating that he was looking for new members for his Guild. We chatted for close to 30 minutes before Ali and I made the decision to join. As I saw Guild chat for the 1st time, with a stream of welcomes, I felt like I was a part of something. I would like to thank everyone that helped me get to where I’m at today and for working with me when I made the switch to a Protection Paladin.

With that said, Zendow has already stated in a previous thread THOR is not a raiding Guild. Its core mechanics do not focus on raiding and hence has lead to a problem with retaining members who want to raid. Some of us tried to progress in the end game content and although we did make some HUGE progress, there is still a long way to go. When the split was 1st proposed to me I saw it as a chance to break the non raiding Image that we had, while still keeping the guild together and giving people something to work toward. Unfortunately, it was not fully supported.

So now here we are today. I have become more than a casual player and want to progress my main character Teutorigos. In order for me to meet the goals I have set for him, he needs to be in a Guild that is focused on Raiding and End Game Content. The choice to not come back wasn't easy, but I feel it’s the best way to accomplish my goals.

Know that the player who sits behind the keyboard is still an active member… just not in the form of Teutorigos.

Shortly after BC when i was on my way to 70 i decided to do what you are doing now. i actually moved to a raiding guild (on protopet). i ended up not being able to raid because i fell behind on the kara key quest. no one would help me finish BM. i finally said crew this and left. within the week i managed to finish the quest with thor. i just needed the good old thor-ians (? thor-inese?)...whatevr. from then on i realized that i could always count on thor. i guess that means im a bit broken by thor. i cant stand other guilds bcuz i like the way thor is. i just hope that someday you may come back. or even leave sniddle (or whoever you fav alt is)here when hes 70

Main focus...not only focus...

It is almost silly to think that we do not focus on end-game content. We have been focusing on it for a while. While the game progresses, or we try to progress in it, life progresses to. Real lives are the main focus in THOR, those people who live those lives. The games we play are just a part of that relationship. Of course our main focus is end-game content, why else would you play? We do know that people have real lives besides WoW and sometimes shit happens. Most raiding guilds do not realize this and punish folks who have real lives. We hope to bridge that gap and raid while having real lives. A social raiding guild. Dig it.

I hope to run with you again sometime- I won't be getting my toon in full epics very quickly, but I do plan on getting to that point in the future! When I get the 5k for the epic flyer, I'll be switching back to holy- I think a priest is more useful as a healer than a dps- especially after watching Bobio's damage output in Kara....
I'll keep a watchful eye on Sniddle- buzz me if he needs anything!
