About guild split I don't know for all of us but i think the things arent going really well since the creation of the supposed raid chapter of THOR. Like i'm saying since the beginning, it's not a good idea, members of original THOR are left behind because event aren't always posted on GEM, I lived it yesterday. I sense that a lot of members that stayed in the original guild start to become angry and sad at same time. I'm sure that if members of THOR that left for raid chapter are true THOR member, they'll come back in original guild, we can't allow them to destroy our guild. We really need to discuss about this, it's important we are losing members as time goes by. |

Hey all. Well I finally made a decision on this. I am back in Thor. I hate what has happened over this split. We had such a great thing. I dont know why this didnt have a better ending. I was in a big guild and we made a sister guild of "only" 60's and it worked out awesome. Maybe it was a different dynamic with those people. They ended up moving as a guild to another server. So many of them left together I have only seen 2-3 of them on this server. And besides I have to stay with my wife who I love to be with in life and in the World of Warcraft :). There are a few people now in TH who are not very friendly towards others and do not have that lets do this as a group attitude that we had when we were all together. I took a break when things were getting tense before and I may do the same again. Anyway Bobio, Umm, Teut, Baby, and all you others I had the pleasure to fight along side of I will miss what was and move on now.

I find it odd that you would say that..we are having a great time and all the recent ppl who got keyed are getting gear too..we rotate ppl in the raids so ppl get a chance and no one feels left out..(THOR members included)

Really? i did'nt get a whisper from you asking if there was room in the raid, if i would have, we would of found a spot for you at some point..
Now on the other hand..here's what i've been getting from THOR members in whisper..

No..G.E.M. is how YOU sign up..

Maybe.....ppl in TH guild show up on time and are excited about raiding..(why we started TH guild)
Bottom line........
If you want to raid..sign up
if it is full..let myself or Accend know you want in..
tell yourself..Thors Hammer is a raiding guild..(we raid every night...)
Also..we will be starting 2 groups soon for Kara and will be attempting Gruul's lair this weekend..so look for the GEM to sign up...
I'm sorry you feel that way Shaeera..the main reson we started TH was because noone was showing up for Kara runs in THOR...now since TH has begun..ALL raids are full and ppl are standing in line to get in...:)

Thors Hammer reasons...
I 100% agree with Bobio. There are a couple of reasons why I decided to change over to Thors Hammer myself. I'm sure many of you will agree with me.
#1) There were plenty of runs set up by 70's in THOR for level 70 events, but not many people were showing up. Reason? People did not have GEM. Exactly what Bob said above, people were complaining that they could not get into events, when we got it going. With the creation of Thors Hammer, GEM is a requirement to be in the guild. If you want to come to an event, you sign up... simple as that.
#2) Every time I would log on with either of my Characters, I would instantly receive 3 to 4 whispers (some times more) "Would you please run us through... , Would you help me quest in..." , etc... Don't get me wrong, I have done more than my fair share of helping people out. I just hate being begged ALL the time. I hate to feel this way, but when I was questing to 70, there were about 3 times total I ever got help with a quest or an instance run through. It was tough sometimes, but also fun. It helped me to learn my role as a character in the game, and how to play it better. I have probably helped more people 2nd only to Bob & Zendow with running people around and "helping" (actually doing it for them) with all their needs. Thors Hammer is nice, because there is something like 34/37 people are 70's! I don't mind helping, but the requests have gone down considerably, I can start to enjoy the game again.
#3) We have a frame of mind of running higher level instances and people who actually care about running them. I was "hit up" by 3 other guilds to come heal at their big raids, and become part of their guilds. I didn't want to leave THOR, since I have been there so long (since level 12). This offered a nice compromise.
#4) Not super important, but in THOR there was a lot of "useless" chatter. It was hard to decide who was talking to who sometimes. My whole chat log was all green with pointless conversation. I had a hard time communicating with others through party chat and whispers. Now that problem has all but disappeared.
Thor and Thors Hammer are still casual, but now it seems to be more convenient for the level 70's. Anyone from THOR is welcome to run with us (and some have continued to) as long as you sign up on GEM (still under "THOR" BTW). There should not be any hard feelings here. From what I can see there has been improvement. This is not a hate list by any means. There are lots of positive things about THOR. Thors Hammer was just a good idea.
Oh and yes, remember: It's just a game, have fun because that's what matters!

By the way, I still consider myself part of THOR. I see no "split", but an added chapter. Last night I think Thors Hammer made a good decision... Only 70's. I took my 2 alts out (Actually I let Bob kick them out, so he can say that he's done so) and I will see if I can add them back to THOR or what ever. I would still like to do THOR events if needed. As a matter of fact I helped Lasticeage run the original Sethekk Halls last night. No biggie! We should all be a little more forgiving about all of this. It seems like a confusing time for a few of you, but it's not really.
Very simple
#1 If you are 70 and want to run "more" end game content... get GEM and come to Thors Hammer
#2 If you want to run in Thors Hammer, but cannot come ALL the time... then don't sign up. You are not demerrited with not coming to all raids. We all have real life happening, I can't reasonably make it to all events. You don't have to come :)
#3 If you don't care, don't worry about it.
#4 If you just want to hang, chill, chat and be social... then stay in THOR (that's what that guild is/was all about in the 1st place :) )
#5 If you have an issue getting GEM, talk with Bob or Accend. I'm sure if you want to raid bad enough, we won't hold you out if there is a spot for you to come. It seems like someone usually has to go in the middle of running an instance. NOT A BIG DEAL. SPOTS OPEN UP ALL THE TIME.

Seriously Nait, I really don't see any good point in that move.
I sad it before to Bobio and I keep my opinion, this serve no purpose escept separating peoples. You could have done this in THOR, no need to create a "raiding" chapter.
For people that don't like guild chat, do like we were doing in Lemmings Inc. and take advantage of TS or Vent to talk in separate chambers. In Lemmings the guild chat was really quiet. For those that don't want to help low lvl guildmate, just tell them. I'm sure most of them will understand that you did your part for this and that you want to have more fun in higher instances.
And Bobio when i talk about the kara run not set in GEM i talk about wednesday. When i logged at 6:30pm server time you were already in kara. I looked on GEM there was nothing talking about a run scheduled and the night before you said nothing about wednesday but we started at 7:00pm so I thought it will be the same, i was wrong...

i had a friend ...from a previous guild (Da'Haran empire) named Shaeera..still on my friends list , that i talked to over the last year or so, in whisper and in guild chat..you (whoever you are) are not them..you type odd..and sound like you have a accent..(my friend did'nt)..in fact..we used to talk in whisper about how good you were doing in Gruul's lair and other places...we showed each other our new gear and laffed at the wipes we had getting it..i dont know who you are..so..Who are you? did you buy this account from them?

Not at all, still the same, I don't think I changed anything. For sure I have an accent, i'm french, english isn't my main language. Probably I do mistake, i apologize for them. At least am I clear? And Bobio, we were playing together in the past but not in Da'Haran empire, i never been in this guild. I created Shaeera 1 month after the official launch of WoW 3 years ago, so it's impossible that you played with another shaeera on this server or the name isn't exactly the same and you did a little mistake.
I been in Army of Azeroth in the past and left with a lot of them for Exiles of Azeroth, then I joined THOR and left for Lemmings Inc.
