Would scheduled Raiding days be a good idea? Friday and Saturday can be for GEM then
I did not want to make them main days for RAIDs as Fri and Sat are usually days to go out and do RL stuff. Perhaps we can setup RAIDs on those days with GEM instead of making them a usual day to do a RAID, or choose one the best one to make as a normal day and drop Sunday. That way those who have RL plans that day won't feel so bad because it was optional.

Days for Raiding
Dont you hate when RL gets in the way?
Since I work 6 days a week it's always hard for me. But having pre-set raiding days are a great idea because it allows me to plan my week. Due to my busy work life I live by my calendar and schedule. Although I work on Saturday mornings and live on the east coast Friday nights are a good night for me. I generally dont play on Saturday nights because of dinner plans that have been arranged sometimes months in advance. An early Sunday raid schedule would be perfect for me because 90% of the time that's my day to do whatever I want.
I think I'll have to hire a maid to do my laundry and clean my house though. Any takers?

Days for Raiding
The only sure-fire way to get Ali to show up for raids is for me to do my naked sexy gnome dance in front of the entrance to kara.

i can only raid on weekends becuse of school but sounds good:)

i cant decide which to vote. i DO think GEM is useful but we should have some preset raiding days. although i dont completely agree with the ones that are listed. i think the ones listed are good but we also should try for friday and saturday too. we could down a few set bosses a night so we can get each person the gear they need from each boss. for example. on the first night we could down attumen and moroes. every week we would have to alter it slightly to help other ppl get the gear they need but it should be a more systematic approach to gearing everyone up. we also need to encourage more new ppl to come. last time i did kara we brought 2 new ppl to kara and a few ppl we dont often see. this is a good thing. we may not have been completely successful but we had fun and got some new gear.
Raiding Times
I agree with Ali,I work nights 12 days on 2 days off.I also live by eastcoast time so sundays are good for me.I really Like Tanking(not real good at it though but really want to learn)so hopefully know one thinks that if i happen to be on during the week and you are in need of a tank that i am ignoring you.And as for the things that are going on in the guild I am here for the long haul it was My first guild and I have been helped by the best so if anyone needs help on a quest or a run through an instance if i have time send me a tell!!

Preset days and other stuff...
Having planned days that are consistent for the most part, I think is the way to go. While I did like to see things scheduled on GEM, I cant download it on the comp I am currently using so it really does me no good.
I know I havn't been around much lately. At first I was trying to decide if I wanted to leave THOR. I have decided against that. I love the atmosphere here and I love the peeps. Things might change down the road, but for the foreseeable future I am here. But, back to the point...while I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do, I started leveling my Pally tank again. I have been having so much fun with her and had her soooo close to heading to Outlands I wanted to continue. Now she is in outlands and on the fast track to 70. I really want to be available to the guild as a tank for anything that is needed so I have been pushing her pretty hard. Seems like we are always short of healers and tanks. Our healer situation seems to be coming along and dont get me wrong...we have tanks and good ones too (including you Zul) but one more never hurts. Besides, if I am not healing every instance/raid that THOR does, then some of the other healers can get some uber gear too!
Anyway - I have lost my train of thought and rereading this is not helping with that...so...bottom line I guess...if I am not hanging out in THOR, catch me in Ripples. If it starts with a B - it's me!

I am not forgetting you Amar! But you cant be everywhere all the time! We would like to have 2 Kara raid groups going. You can only be saved to one. Each Kara group needs 2 tanks for the most part. Have you discovered how to split yourself in two and you are not sharing? Not to mention the regular dungeons! :)
